Planning, record keeping, and analytics built for the smaller farm

Field day is built around the understanding that you, the specialized farmer, don't have tailor-made tools that work for your type of farm. In the age of technology, you've resorted to using spreadsheets or a pile of muddy papers. The tools that do exist are too big and clunky for your needs. This is where Field Day comes in - a flexible, easy-to-use digital record-keeping tool that helps you to set up your crop plan and track all your farm's activities throughout the season.

OUR MISSION

We’re a small group of passionate people trying to do nothing less than reinvent our food system. This is a huge challenge; it may be the greatest challenge of our generation. Not only does our diet directly affect our health, but the way we eat -- all 7 billion of us -- has a huge impact on our planet.

As we see it, the best way to make a positive change is by empowering the little guy. The urban farmer, the specialty grower. That’s where innovation happens.

About Us

Field Day is a crop planning and task management app that keeps you moving towards your long term goals. We keep the bigger picture in focus while helping you manage the day-to-day. Field Day is your scribe, your assistant, your accountant, and your consultant -- it’s a tool that is designed to help you continuously iterate your farm. Some things are out of your control, Field Day helps you manage the things you can.

We want to make farm management not just painless, we want to make it rewarding.

Ultimately, I farm to show my respect for the earth and humankind. But that lofty goal cannot be achieved without a record of my past work and a plan for future work. I plan and record so as to farm happily, sustainably, and in line with my mission
— Jeff Hake, @farmersfold
From seeding, transplanting and harvest dates to managing staff, finances, and customers’ orders, there’s no shortage of daily tasks a farmer must juggle. Having a dynamic task list at my fingertips is an invaluable tool that helps keep my work load organized and my business running smooth.
